About me
I am a husband, father of two now grown sons,
an enthusiastic sailor, dog owner and model railroader.
Professionally, I worked as a project engineer and in quality management.
Sailing
I am an enthusiastic sailor and a member of Fahrtensegler Karlsruhe eV and Kreuzer Yacht Club Deutschland eV.
Whenever possible, I have made sure to go on at least one sailing trip every year since 2007.
This year, a 6-week sailing trip to Sweden 2026 in 3 stages is on the agenda.

My Parson Russell Terrier bitch Betty von der finsteren Klinge "Flocke" was born on September 14, 2024.
She comes from the B-litter of the kennel PRT von der finsteren Klinge of Ulrich and Daniela Kern.
Family
I am married to Monika and have two grown sons, Sander and Nico.
Model railway
Even as a teenager I had a Märklin model railway.
Now I collect models from various manufacturers such as Roco, Trix, Piko, Brawa, LS-Models, ACME, etc., and I am thrilled by the possibilities of digital technology for controlling a model railway.
I am an active member of the Germersheim Model Railway Club.
Here I have implemented several projects with Arduino to automate processes and effects, some with sound.
